The competition went according to plan. Alle three attempts got three whites.
Bench: 120kg, 125kg and finally 130 kg in the 93 kg class.
THere were still a couple of kg left on the last attempt. But I am quite satisfied with another 5kg more than in March.  Smiley

Last heavy training before my raw meet:
Squat: 1 x 1@ 155 kg went very deep and no majr problems lifting it up.
Bench: 1 x1 @ 125 kg, failed twice on the 130 kg mark
DL: 1 x 1 @ 210 kg no problem and lots of air.

So I think I will start 145 - 125 and 200.

THe raw meet went well. My goal was 500kg total.
Squat:
145 kg: good lift
152,5 kg: good lift
160 kg: good lift and some air.
Somehow I had no idea of my depth but obviously it must have been ok. :-)
Weight: 92,4 kg
Bench:
120 kg: good lift
125 kg: good lift but hard
130 kg: good lift

DL:
200 kg: good lift
210 kg: good lift
with my goal of 500 kg achieved, I went for
220 kg: good lift :-)
That equaled my meet PR from 2008 where I weighed 97kg+.
The first time I had all 9 lifts counted. So I am quite pleased with the result. Next planned meet is in march.
I will take a weeklong break. Then I need to work on getting my squat up.

As good as the total for you is the 9 for 9 lifting, did you feel like you even had some room for more?

Hi Alberto,

good to hear from you. How are you doing?
I believe in the squat 5 kilos and in the bench maybe 2,5 kg would have been possible. On the 220 kg DL I was surprised that my grip was no issue, but it was a tough lift.
For my March meet, Vienna powerlifting championship, I want 170kg in the squat.

Best regards,
Christian.

I tore off my MCL plus tore my meniscus while slipping off my bobsleigh. That means I will need to focus on benching once I am able to move again.

First post-surgery workout:
Bench:
slow warm up
5 x 3@ 80 kg
Chin Up
3 x 3@ BW

Plan is to slowly rebuild my bench.
Lower body is not trained other than through rehab and physical therapist.

Since I could not move around much I took the time to view the "So you thik you can bench" series: http://train.elitefts.com/inst...-think-you-can-bench-parts1-7/
Great stuff! I tried to incorporate one or two tips.

Hey Christian! Really sorry to hear about your accident. Hopefully you will heal fully and that focusing on your bench will become a sort of silver lining.

Deadlift: 10 x 3 @ 45 kg
Squat: 5 x 3 @ 25 kg
Chin Up: 6,4,5 @ BW +1,25 kg
Bench: 5,3,4 @ 110 kg
Press: 7,6, 2 @ 50 kg

Since this week I can go slightly below parallel squats and got green light to start adding weigth very slowly.

September is the next bench meet I could compete in. So a couple of weeks to go.
I squatted a monstrous 30 kg today. Only 10 times more and I am OK ;-)

DL:
10 x 3 @ 50 kg
Squat: 5 x 3 @ 30 kg
Pull Up: 3,2,2 @ BW
Bench:
5,3,4 @ 110 kg
Narrow Grip Bench: 5,2,2 @ 90 kg

here is what I did today
Squat: 10, 5 @ 60 kg, My knee feels stable enough for 5 kg increases
Shoulder Press:
3 x 3 @ 55 kg
Chin Up: 4,3,3 @ BW + 3,75kg
Power Clean: 8,7 @ 45 kg
I lost a week because I got hurt after increasing the weight on squats too fast, but now I believe I am on track again.
