Yesterday, I used a bench shirt (Inzer single ply) for the first time. While I was positely surprised of the support I received from the shirt, I found lowering the weights extremly painful. I was told that over the weeks this will get better.
What were your first time experiences with a bench shirt? Do you have any tips (or links to articles) on how to reduce the pain when lowering the weigths? I had the feeling that I was working my arm pits with a knife on the descent. Stopping the bar and lifting it were no problem. Actually I had to pull the bar towards my chest so it could reach it.
