Title: READ THIS BEFORE POSTING
Post by: kris on June 16, 2007, 10:19:28 am
Please follow these rules when posting in the Marketplace:

1. Only deal with goods related to iron sports or strength

Weight plates, machines, legal supplements, powerlifting equipment, books on powerlifting/weightlifting/highland/bodybuilding/grip... you get the picture. Remember that many of our members also compete in real-world equipped meets or use some gear in training, hence we warmly welcome anyone to trade powerlifting equipment even though our meets are always RAW. If you wish to sell anything not related to iron sports or strength, please PM a moderator.

2. Only sell/buy/trade/give away legal items

No drugs, steroids, copied DVDs, fake supplements... this one should be self-evident. What might be less self-evident is that some goods may be illegal in some countries or carry import restrictions; verifying that this is not the case is at the sole responsibility of the member that receives the goods. As our server is currently located in the United States, a good rule of thumb is that anything that is legal there and not prohibited in these rules can be offered or requested. Virtualmeet.net reserves the right to remove any topics deemed inappropriate without prior notice.

3. Only private persons may use the Marketplace without prior permission

Companies interested in selling their products at Virtualmeet.net should contact Kristoffer Lindqvist at kris@virtualmeet.net.

4. Use the Marketplace at your own risk

Obviously, Virtualmeet.net cannot verify the integrity of a member or the quality/legality of any merchandise offered here. Any transactions are the private affairs of the members involved and Virtualmeet.net cannot be held responsible for any damages that may ensue. However, if you fall victim of fraud, please let us know about it immediately so that we can take appropriate steps to warn our members and/or ban the member. As per our member agreement (http://virtualmeet.net/agreement.txt), we will happily co-operate with any legal action by providing all relevant information we have on a user accused of fraud.

5. Use clear topics

To make it easy to glance over the Marketplace without having to open every topic, please prefix every topic with one or a combination of the following:

B: You want to buy something
S: You are selling
T: You want to trade
G: You are giving away stuff for free (postage may naturally be added)

Be specific about your product in the topic, for example by mentioning the title of a book/video or the brand/size of a bench shirt. For example, if you are selling the book Power - A Scientific Approach by Fred C. Hatfield good topic names could be:

S: Power - A scientific approach
S: Power by Fred C. Hatfield
S: Power book by Hatfield

Naturally, if you are selling many books at once, it is perfectly all right to use a generic title:

S: Powerlifting and bodybuilding books

6. Post a note when the transaction has been completed

To keep people from inquiring about transactions that have already taken place, please post a short note such as:

Sold.
Found the book, thanks.
Am no longer interested in trading.

This also functions as a sign to moderators that they can lock the thread.
