Two hours left to sign up. Looks like these will be the smallest two meets to date.

The meet is on! Christian and Marc are scheduled to lift today.

An update on the judging: Helgi Briem (http://virtualmeet.net/hbriem) has graciously agreed to judge and I'm also going to step in. Finding a third judge should not be a problem; if nobody gets in touch soon I'll do the usual round.

Go for it (at least Christian probably did already :))!

For the record, I have made an exception for this meet for one reason only: without Christian, the meet would have consisted of one lifter only. Subsequently, I suggest allowing lifters to reschedule their lifting day a bit closer to the meet than the current two weeks. Perhaps four days out from the meet? This would allow for some more flexibility to cope with life as it happens.

So, Christian is lifting on Saturday.

I think I won't be able to compete at all in this meet. I went to the gym and it was closed for no apparent reason.

It's opened tomorrow but I would have a 30min window to drive to the gym and do my things after a 12h shift.

You were the only one in the bench press meet, so the meet is now officially cancelled. Matt and Christian are still in the military bench meet of course.

The military bench meet has been passed to the judges, being Helgi Briem (http://virtualmeet.net/hbriem/), Måns Rinne (http://virtualmeet.net/mansrinne/) and myself (http://virtualmeet.net/kris/).

As usual, you can follow the judging progress in the box above the forums. The judges have one week to finish the judging from today.

I was glad to be able to compete. Sorry to hear that Marc could not enter the gym. That really sucks when you get ready and drive all the way to the gym only to learn that it is closed.

I'm expecting some big PR's from you !!!

Marc, sorry to hear of your gym closing ordeal.  Bust out those PR's on the next comp. you enter.

I'll have to come back on the next comp for sure ! I wanted so bad to beat my bench PR !

Hope you guys did well.

No PR on this one. But it was a good experience none the less. I was on week 6 of the Sheiko cycle so I was not expecting too much. Lets see what the judges say.

Will start preparing the meet for release now. Barring coughing children, the meet should be released within the next few hours. I will send out the usual e-mails when done.

Congratulations to Matt for setting a 154.2kg (340lbs) personal and (virtualmeet record (http://virtualmeet.net/rankings/)!) on the Military Bench press. On a more personal note, Matt's music is right down my alley. Christian did a strong showing in the middle of his Sheiko cycle, but better luck next time.  :)

Keep up the strong lifting Christian, I couldn't imagine trying to do this in the middle of a sheiko routine, yikes.

Nice Job Matt. All the attempts looked very solid and also the third one looked like there was more in the tank. Good stuff.

Thanks Christian.  My pressing has really takin off, not sure why though, haven't really stuck to a certain program for very long.  I think most of it was from running about 4 weeks of Bill Starr's 5x5 advanced version, I really like that setup.  Ohh, and gaining a little bit more weight :)
